| Juanita started cooking brittles in 1974. She "cooked up" batches of peanut brittle in a small building located behind her home and then peddled her candies from her car around the state. She would pass out samples allowing customers to get a taste of her wonderful, homemade brittle. This was all it took to get the business growing.
